Here’s the Scoop on this Year’s Winner and Runners-Up of CreatorCon Challenge Venture Funding

SalesWon, Enable Labs, and Recruitlive Join Our Thriving ISV Ecosystem

We are in exciting times at ServiceNow, especially as we are beginning our second day of Knowledge®18 in Las Vegas!

I am thrilled to announce the winner and runners-up from more than 300 entries to CreatorCon® Challenge – our global competition for entrepreneurs to create the most high-impact, intelligent applications on the Now Platform™. “Legends of Tech” judges Fred Luddy, Om Malik and BJ Lackland selected first place winner SalesWon, second place Enable Labs and third place Recruitlive last night during the “CreatorCon Challenge Finale Topic Keynote” in front of thousands of Knowledge18 attendees, as well as streamed to thousands more at multiple theaters on the ExpoNow show floor during the Knowledge18 go-live party.

Here are the winner and runners-up and their amazing solutions for the Now Platform:

  • First place: SalesWon was awarded $250,000 for SalesWon CRM & CPQ, which accelerates the sales process while bringing complete visibility to management in a suite of sales automation applications.
  • Second place: Enable Labs was awarded $150,000 for Toolbox, whichenables construction companies to manage work sites, assets and projects more efficiently, uses machine learning to improve safety and streamlines communications between staff and subcontractors on-site.
  • Third place: Recruitlive was awarded $100,000 for EmployeeX, which implements AI, machine learning and an advanced user experience in an end-to-end employee lifecycle application.

In addition to the $500K in cash investment prizes from ServiceNow Ventures, the CreatorCon Challenge also includes $500K in sales and marketing prizes to accelerate the finalists’ market adoption. Each application will be published on the ServiceNow Store and/or distributed via the ServiceNow OEM channel – available to existing ServiceNow customers and new customers globally.

Our winner and runners-up join an ecosystem of 400 applications and integrations that leverage the Now Platform to bring innovation and intelligent applications to the marketplace, complementing our own applications in IT, HR, Security Operations and Customer Service.

For example, last year’s CreatorCon Challenge winner, Australia’s Factor5, has since gone off to build a sizeable business and has acquired multiple top-tier regional universities as new customers. Each of their customers is paying 6-figures annually for the innovative, flexible and comprehensive academic curriculum design and management solution built on our platform – and all within a year of launching their business!

It’s truly exciting to see the evolution of our ISV ecosystem over the past couple of years. Gartner recently named ServiceNow a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise High-Productivity Platform as a Service1. Partners have built full blown solutions to address the needs of areas as diverse as enterprise asset management for facilities and healthcare (Nuvolo), telecom service management (MobiChord), customer success management (Totango), GDPR compliance (Wrangu) and more. These are some of the many drivers of our burgeoning ecosystem

As Tom Stanford, CEO of Nuvolo recently said, “If I were to draw the analogy to the automotive industry, I see ServiceNow as the supplier of our engines, drive trains and transmissions – all high value. I don’t need to reinvent any of them and can focus solely on innovating on that high-performance engine and providing an amazing driver experience.”

And that’s an excellent way to think about the Now Platform: we continue to invest in it by adding innovations around machine learning/AI, mobile and much more through development and M&A. Our ISV partners leverage our investments to innovate faster within their own areas of expertise. This happens either as integrations to our applications leveraging our API’s, or as apps built on the Now Platform that are tightly coupled with our own applications in IT, HR, Security Operations and Customer Service and exposed through the ServiceNow Store. And now we also have partner apps not coupled with our own applications that use our new Now Platform OEM offerings.

Here’s an example of how quickly our partners are growing:

Tom’s company recently closed a 7-figure transaction with a Global 2000 company – all within 3 years of launching Nuvolo! In fact, on Sunday night we gave them an award for the Largest Transaction on the ServiceNow Store in the past year. Another top partner, Fairchild Resiliency Systems, won as the Breakout ISV Partner of the Year in the Americas for their amazing customer acquisition in the past year. And our friends at Factor5 were recognized as the Breakout ISV Partner of the Year globally.

It’s a fun time to be building our ISV ecosystem – and in the midst of an exciting and successful Knowledge conference it is clear that the odds are on our side as we see our partners and customers embracing the Now Platform like never before!
